Send the notice

Review and response
A properly identified notice can be forwarded for technical or legal review. Appropriate action may include requesting clarification, restricting access to identified material or taking another measure required by applicable law and service arrangements.
False statements
Knowingly submitting materially false information can create legal liability. If ownership, authorization or the exact location of material is unclear, obtain legal advice before sending a notice.
Counter-notices
If applicable law provides a counter-notice process, include the exact removed or restricted material, the basis for the objection, required consent and jurisdiction statements, contact details and signature. Legal requirements depend on the relevant jurisdiction.
